So much packing to do . . . but I have a headache so I think I'll blog instead. :-D
I've been feeling like I should post something short and upbeat, as I've been rather stressed at length recently.
I finished my independent project today. It was also the annual awards banquet for the Head Start parent volunteers - they rent out Rhodes over Pawtuxet, huge hall, for 1000 people all affiliated with Head Start. Teachers and the parents who volunteer. The PCM AmeriCorps team got tickets. Loud music. All these teachers letting their hair down and dressing up. I gave my coworkers a bit of a surprise by showing up in a skirt. Not just any skirt, but actually, the whole outfit was rather sexy, as Nancy said. Black and red, clingy in just the right places for my figure w/o emphasizing the wrong places. Highly impractical strappy black velvet shoes. Make-up and curled hair. The whole nine yards.
I generally wear jeans, no make up, and bandanas or ponytails at work, so it caught them off gaurd. I rather enjoy turning people's opinions of me topsy turvy. :-) Of course, it might be nice if people really made the effort to dig in deep and get to know me . . . but then you really have to know me for awhile to see all my various sides. That's true of pretty much everybody, I guess.
Okay I'm done.
