I got told today by one of my supervisors, in the nicest manner possible, that I talk like someone who graduated from Cornell.  She stated matter of factly, saying that that probably was one cause of a bit of difference between me and my coworkers.  Apparently as soon as I open my mouth they realize that I'm "different."  It reminded me of how cousin Amae (when she was still Amy) used to tell me that I used too many big words.  I never knew which words were the ones she thought were big.
